Dutch has two common plural endings: -en and -s. The ending -s is added after a) Words ending in -el, -em, -en, -er
b) most modern loanwords from English and French, e.g. clubs, cafés, stations c) diminutives, and most other words in -e huisjes 'little houses', kopjes 'cups', meisjes 'girls', pauzes 'breaks' d) most words ending in -a, -i, -o, -u (these need an apostrophe before the -s) pinda's, kiwi's, foto's, menu's. Most of the remaining words take -en
